In formal logic, this mark is called the double turnstile. A ⊨ B means that in every interpretation in which A holds, B holds too — not because someone argued it well, but because there is no interpretation in which A holds and B fails.
A turnstile is also a gate. For Double Turnstile, the physical meaning matters too: one passage at a time, one direction, no returning. Entries enter. Nothing comes back out changed.
